Executive Director: Lori Ramsey
My name is Lori Ramsey, and I am very proud to represent Temple B’nai Israel and The Satell Center for Jewish Life on the Eastern Shore as its new Executive Director. As a resident of St. Michaels for four years, and a member of staff for another spiritual institution, I have long admired Rabbi Hyman and the people of Temple B’nai Israel for your leadership in the mid-shore area, particularly in social justice issues, and in creating alliances within the interfaith community.
A bit about me … I was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and my mother’s family was originally from New York. I was not raised Jewish, although my Grandmother’s father was Jewish. So, she always had Matzos and Halvah for me and my sister to eat when we visited, and would always share family stories – over and over again! My wife, Kristen Greenaway, and I met in the Netherlands 18 years ago, although she is originally from New Zealand. We have one son, Andrew, who is 11 years old and in 6th grade at The Country School. Kristen is an avid sailor/adventurer, and Andrew is on the golf team at TCS. He never turns down an invitation to play a round! I enjoy a game of doubles tennis, sailing, and learning new recipes to cook for friends and family.
As your new Executive Director I am looking forward to meeting each of you and learning why the Temple is important to you and your family, as well as your vision for its future. Please know that my door is always open to hear your thoughts.
